Dr. John Watts founded Trichos Hair Transplant & Research Center in Hyderabad in 2010, building it into one of India's most respected hair restoration institutions. He pioneered the Non-Shaven Long Hair Transplant (NSLHT-FUE) technique in the region and has performed thousands of surgical procedures across FUT, FUE, and advanced combination methods.
In 2024 Dr. Watts served as faculty at the 12th International FUE Europe Congressin Cyprus — one of the world's premier hair transplant gatherings. The same year he attended the ISHRS Hair Transplant 360 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA and the FUE Asia 2nd World Congress in Mumbai. In 2023 he was a delegate at the ISHRS 31st World Congress in New Delhi and the AAHRS Annual Meeting in Bangkok. He is a senior faculty member at hair and skin conferences worldwide and is regularly invited to demonstrate advanced surgical techniques to peer surgeons.
Beyond the operating theatre, Dr. Watts is a prolific educator. His YouTube channel has produced over 1,395 educational videoscovering hair loss science, transplant techniques, scalp health, and patient Q&As — making expert knowledge accessible to patients and practitioners alike. He is also a published author contributing to the growing body of hair restoration literature.
Dr. Watts holds the prestigious Diplomate credential from the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) — the gold standard of professional certification in hair transplantation worldwide. He is a life member of IADVL and holds memberships in ISHRS, AAHRS, and AHRS.
